Da lungo tempo conoscitrici ed estimatrici dell’eccellenza dell’editoria indiana, quest’anno per la prima volta BCBF e BBPlus sono volate in India per incontrare editori, autori e illustratori alla New Delhi World Book Fair, portando il meglio delle proprie iniziative e del proprio know-how in un paese in cui un’ampia percentuale della popolazione è composta da bambini e ragazzi in età scolare, e con un tasso di alfabetizzazione in costante aumento: gli editori indiani stanno investendo sempre di più nel settore, utilizzando anche moderne tecnologie per aumentarne la produttività.

È questa la tappa conclusiva del Bologna Grand Tour, reso possibile anche grazie al supporto dell’Agenzia ICE (Agenzia per la promozione all'estero e l'internazionalizzazione delle imprese italiane) e del Ministero degli Affari Esteri e della Cooperazione Internazionale (MAECI).

Alla New Delhi World Book Fair, Bologna Children’s Book Fair ha portato l’Illustrators Survival Corner - tra le sue iniziative di maggior successo di sempre, sviluppata in collaborazione con Mimaster Illustrazione - palcoscenico di un ampio programma di workshop, portfolio review e masterclass con artisti che racconteranno la loro arte e il loro percorso professionale, assieme a due mostre che esporranno al pubblico internazionale di New Delhi il meglio dell’editoria e dell’illustrazione italiana per bambini e ragazzi.

Honour List – Mettere il mondo sottosopra, organizzata dalla sezione italiana di IBBY - International Board on Books for Young People, di cui BCBF e l’Associazione Italiana Editori (AIE) sono soci fondatori: quest'esposizione è un prezioso strumento che mette in luce di fronte al pubblico internazionale il meglio dell’editoria italiana, raccogliendo 60 titoli che rappresentano le migliori uscite editoriali italiane del periodo recente dedicate a bambini e ragazzi.

Figure per Gianni Rodari. Eccellenze Italiane, con cui BCBF ha celebrato nel 2020 il centenario della nascita di Gianni Rodari (23 ottobre 1920), primo autore italiano insignito del prestigioso Hans Christian Andersen Award (nel 1970), esponendo opere originali di ventuno autori che hanno dato la loro personale interpretazione dell’opera di Rodari. La mostra è realizzata da Bologna Children's Book Fair e a cura della Cooperativa Giannino Stoppani/Accademia Drosselmeier.
