The extraordinary experience of the exhibition series “Italian Excellence”, documenting the best of contemporary Italian illustration, together with the mutual friendship established between BCBF and China, has inspired the development of a new exhibition series: “Chinese Excellence in Children’s Illustration”.
Each year, a jury of international and Chinese experts will select the best Chinese illustrators, thus contributing to building an outstanding overview of contemporary Chinese illustration.
The 2024 Jury, composed of Debbie Bibo, Loïc Boyer, Anna Castagnoli, Hai Fei, Wang Lijun, Zhang Mingzhou, and Yang Zhong selected 3 winners and 12 finalists whose artwork is featured in the exhibition and in the catalogue, published in English and Chinese.
The initiative is organized by BCBF, China South Publishing & MediaGroup and Sidee Cultural Communication.
