Bourgeois

Elodie Bourgeois

Elodie Bourgeois was born in Barcelona into a trilingual environment. She studied at the

International Lycée Français de Barcelona (Spain) and graduated in Hispanic Philology and Modern
French Letters at the University of Nanterre (France). She began her professional career at
Fragments Editions, specializing in Art and Design. In 1999, she obtained a Masters in Edition
(Barcelona), and worked as a freelance translator, proofreader, and interpreter for various
companies and museums (Macba Museum, Tàpies Foundation, among others).
In 2000, she joined Editorial Juventud, one of the most relevant independent Spanish publishers in
Barcelona, where she is currently in charge of the children's and youth department, publishing more than 60 titles a year. She attends all international fairs, and she’s always looking for talented authors and illustrators. She has participated in many international encounters and taken part in round tables (Salon du Livre de Montreuil, Congreso Iberoamericano de Lectura y literatura infantil y juvenil, Fil Guadalajara, Bologna Book Fair, etc.)
In 2017, she took part at the creation of ¡ALBUM! which organizes cultural events for children
related to children’s books and aims at facilitating access to books to children of all social
backgrounds.

Gao

Cai Gao

Cai Gao, born in 1946 in Changsha, is an outstanding artist and picture book illustrator.
Since the late 1970s, she has dedicated herself to illustration and was awarded the Golden Apple Award at the 14th Bratislava International Childrens Book Biennale (BIB) in 1993, becoming one of the pioneers in the field of original picture books in China. In 1996, Cai Gao was named one of the most outstanding young editors in China; in 2000, she was honored with the title of one of the most outstanding childrens picture book artists in China. In 2022, she received the Special Contribution Award at the 34th Chen Bochui International Childrens Literature Award; in 2024, she was shortlisted for the Hans Christian Andersen Award. In 2024, Cai Gao received the Outstanding Master China award.
Her representative works include The Land of the Peach Blossom, Baoer, Hua Mulan, Meng Jiangnv, Blazing City - 1938, How I Came to be Me, and What Whould it be like Without…?.

Gotti

Grazia Gotti

Grazia Gotti likes to describe herself as a cultural activist. After graduating in pedagogy, she worked as a teacher and bookseller, as well as a promoter and organiser of exhibitions, training programs and reading-promotion projects. Grazia is co-founder of the children’s bookstore Giannino Stoppani and of the Accademia Drosselmeier in Bologna, and a consultant for BCBF.
She has published several books: A scuola con i libri. Avventure di una libraia maestra (2013), Ne ho vedute tante da raccontar. Crescere con i libri (2015), La biblioteca dei saperi (2021), Come un giardino. Leggere la poesia ai bambini (2021), Alla lettera (2022), La nave scuola (2023).

For young readers, she has written Ventun donne all’assemblea (2016), Tre amiche e una rivoluzione. La storia di Maria Dalle Donne (2023), and Adriana, infanzia, lavoro e politica di Adriana Lodi, whose advocacy led to Law 1044 for nursery schools in Italy.
Grazia Gotti is now curator of Herstory, an editorial narrative for Giunti. Drawing on the voices of women writers, illustrators, editors, translators, experts in children’s literature and workers across the book trade, she traces the history of female publishing in this first quarter of the 21st century.

Hui

Chen Hui

Chen Hui, PH.D, professor of Chinese literature at Beijing Normal University. During the past 20 years, she has published various scholarly publications and articles. She has been devoted to the creation and research of children's picture books, writing 48 of her own and translating many English picture books into Chinese. Her major works include Chinese Picture Book Creation: Theory and Practice (2020) and A Reading Guide to Children's Picture Book (2021).
She has also edited several books in this field including Picture Books for Infants (2018). Her experience in the field has also led to her being invited to judge numerous picture book awards, both domestic and international, including CCBF Golden Pinwheel Young Illustrators Competition 2020, BIBF Illustrators Exhibition 2024, the Chinese Picture Book Times Award and the World Illustration Awards 2020, Biennial of Illustrations Bratislava 2023. She is also a member of the Children’s Literature Committee of the China Writers Association.

Torseter

Øyvind Torseter

Øyvind Torseter (1972) is one of Norway’s leading illustrators, cartoonists, and picture book authors. He has written and illustrated numerous critically acclaimed and award-winning books, and he has also collaborated as an illustrator and co-author with other writers. He has received around 55 awards, honours, and grants, including the Bologna Ragazzi Award, Prix Jeune Albert, the Nordic Council Children and Young People’s Literature Prize, the Premio Andersen, the Critics’ Prize, the Ministry of Culture’s awards six times, and the Brage Prize.
His books have been translated into over 20 languages.

Xun

Jiang Xun

Jiang Xun is a highly respected scholar, aesthetician, and writer from Taiwan, China. Born in Xi'an and raised in Taiwan, he is a versatile intellectual accomplished as a painter, poet, and author. He is widely admired for his lifelong commitment to popularizing aesthetics.

With a solid academic background in art history, having studied in both Taipei and Paris, he previously served as chair of the Fine Arts Department at Tunghai University. Jiang possesses a remarkable ability to interpret art and culture with both depth and clarity.
Through his bestselling books, such as A History of Chinese Art for Everyone, and his widely acclaimed lecture series - including his insightful commentaries on Dream of the Red Chamber, he skillfully bridges profound scholarship with everyday experience.
His conversational and accessible style transforms aesthetics from an abstract philosophical concept into a gentle presence that illuminates daily life. Zhongli

Tian Zhongli

Tian Zhongli is the President of Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication. As a distinguished professor and doctoral supervisor, he holds significant positions in the art community, including Director of the Illustration and Book Binding Art Committee of the China Artists Association and Vice Chairman of the Beijing Artists Association.

He has served as a judge for the 12th, 13th, and 14th National Art Exhibitions. Tian Zhongli played key leadership roles in the service guarantee and execution of major national celebrations, notably as Executive Deputy Commander for the square activities during the 70th Anniversary of the National Day, the Centenary Celebration of the Communist Party of China, and the 80th Anniversary of the Victory in the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. He was also a specially invited expert for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.
 
In recognition of his contributions, he is a recipient of the Special Government Allowance from the State Council and has been honored as a "Leading Talent in the National News and Publishing Industry"; by the former General Administration of Press and Publication.
 
His artistic works have been selected for and have won awards at numerous prestigious art exhibitions both in China and abroad. He has held solo exhibitions at the National Art Museum of China and the China Printing Museum. Furthermore, he has published over 50 academic papers and authored several scholarly monographs.
