Eva Valvo – whose mother is Danish and father Sicilian - graduated in Classical Studies from the University of Pisa before becoming an editorial translator and freelance scout of Danish and Norwegian literature. Hers is a declared preference for children’s and young adult literature. Eva curates the ‘Lost (and Found)’ section of Palermo’s Festival delle Letterature Migranti and is involved with translator training from the Scandinavian languages. She contributes to the journal Andersen and was a member of the scientific committee of the 2024 IBBY International Congress. She is a Board member of Strade, the Italian editorial translators’ trade union, and coordinator of the
Visibility working group of CEALT (European Council of Literary Translators’ Associations).
