Bologna Licensing Trade Fair/Kids (BLTF/Kids) is the leading international licensing event dedicated to brands for children, teens, and young adults. Now an integral part of the Bologna Children's Book Fair, the BLTF/Kids returns to BolognaFiere from 13 April to 16 April 2026 for its 19th edition.
The 2025 edition of BLTF/Kids also brought together over 800 brands, with 54 companies in attendance.
At BLTF/Kids, exhibitors can benefit from a dedicated matchmaking service that connects them with publishing professionals at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, as well as within the TV/Film Rights Centre, the Comics Corner and the Games Business Centre. Organisers carefully identify potential partners to arrange one-to-one appointments, open both to those with a regular stand and to participants in the Licensing Business Lounge. In 2025, this service was further enhanced with the launch of a new matchmaking platform, which enabled companies and professionals to hold more than 1,700 meetings.
In addition to a rich exhibition space in the heart of the Bologna Children's Book Fair, the Licensing Business Lounge offers a dynamic space where licensors, agencies and service providers can book their table and enjoy exclusive services and attend the event in a dynamic and optimized way.
In 2025, the Licensing Portfolio Reviews proved to be a key occasion for connecting consumer goods and audiovisual companies with new illustration and design talents, opening the door to fresh business opportunities. That edition brought together 30 companies and more than 110 artists, leading to 390 meetings.
For all those working in this business and for those operating within the children’s content business in general, the BLTF/Kids organises the International Kids Licensing Days (IKLD) every year, three days of in-depth discussions with the main international key-players, on the most relevant topics related to content for children and young adults, from licensing to publishing, from audiovisual to gaming and more. The conference programme is organised in cooperation with Licensing Magazine.
At every edition, the Bologna Licensing Awards are a permanent fixture for the international industry, rewarding licensors, agencies, licensees and retailers worldwide, with the aim of strengthening the entire supply chain as the foundation of any great success. In 2025, the Awards introduced a new category: the Best Licensed Game Award, dedicated to outstanding property development in the videogame sector.
