The initiative, promoted by ARS IN FABULA, a higher education institute directly involved in the field of high education and promotion of children's books in collaboration with Bologna Children's Book Fair, aims to sustain and train new talent through a postgraduate illustration course.
Roberto Hofer Asencio was born in Punta Arenas, Chile in 1999. He studied visual arts at Diego Portales University from 2019 to 2023.
Since his university studies, he has participated in exhibitions and artistic projects in his home country, both as an exhibitor and as a production assistant.
In 2025, he completed a Diploma program in Editorial Illustration at the Catholic University of Chile.
As his final project for this program, he produced his first illustrated book, "Ruta 9 Norte," which led him to participate in the Illustrators Exhibition at the Bologna Children's Book Fair, the following year.
He works primarily with oil pastels, graphite pencils, and charcoal.
