Third stop: Frankfurt!

Frankfurter Buchmesse, Frankfurt
15 - 19 October 2025
Hall 5.0 - Stand B63

At the Frankfurter Buchmesse, BCBF has welcomed both long-time partners and new friends to its stand. Here, visitors have been able to explore the latest updates on the upcoming edition of the fair and to discover a curated exhibition of outstanding recent Italian titles, selected by IBBY Italia: the IBBY Italia Choice 2025.
Beyond its stand, BCBF has also strengthened its collaboration with the Frankfurter Buchmesse through the joint development of the Games Business Centre, the business area dedicated to professionals in the gaming sector which was launched and hosted by BCBF and the Frankfurt Book Fair at their latest editions. This area was created with the aim of integrating the areas already dedicated to the trade in copyrights and television and film content licensing, thereby expanding the book-to-screen possibilities at the two events. After having organised more than 300 events during the 2025 edition of BCBF, the Games Business Centre is increasingly establishing itself as an international hub for meetings and networking for video game companies, publishers, television and film producers and licensing professionals from all over the world.

On Thursday 16 October at 5.30 pm the BCBF stand has also hosted a networking event to present the numerous opportunities for professionals in the entertainment sector and all the three fairs (BCBF, BBPlus, BLTF/Kids) new projects, explained in the words of their organisers.

IBBY Italia Choice 2025 - Visit the Exhibition

In Frankfurt, the fourth selection of Italian publishing for children and young readers has also previewed. The IBBY Italia Choice 2025 highlights titles published between June 2024 and July 2025 that stand out for their literary and visual quality, as well as for their narrative and formal originality. The works are divided into sections: picture books, fiction, poetry, non-fiction, comics and graphic novels, and toddler books.

IBBY Italy warmly thanks the publishers who responded to the call, the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and AIE - Italian
Publishers Association, for supporting the publication of the catalogue and the international circulation of this collection.
