Starting in 2024, the BLTF/Kids programme was enriched with the Licensing Portfolio Reviews, a brand-new and innovative way of bringing together key players in animation, brands and consumer goods manufacturing - and everything related to these categories - along with talents in illustration and design.
A series of speed-dating meetings taking place throughout the Book Fair is a unique opportunity to scout for new ideas and styles while fostering new collaborations.
The first edition of the Licensing Portfolio Reviews welcomed 30 international companies from the gaming, animation, toy, stationery and clothing sectors, resulting in more than 390 meetings with emerging and established illustrators and artists from all over the world.
In the second edition, participating companies included: Keep Digging Production, Movimenti, Cartobaleno, Doodle Production, Kairo Studio, Panebarco for the animation world; Feenix Group, and Funtomata from gaming; while Studio MinaLima, Origami Editore, and Carioca were the leading representatives for stationery category; Home Made Licensing, iLicensing.io, Exactly.ai & Art Lab Agency, and Booster Milano for the licensing agency; Monnalisa, and Meravillarte were the pitchers for the apparel industry; Cartel for the design side, together with Ms Edizioni, Headu, Red Glove, Clementoni, Toad Creative Studio, Cranio Creations, Pendragon Game Studios, and Ludus Magnus board and educational games.
