The Bologna Children’s Book Fair highlights the vital role of translators through its Translators’ Centre, which serves as a dynamic forum for workshops, training, debates, and networking with industry professionals.
Within this framework, the “In Altre Parole” (In Other Words) competition invites aspiring translators to showcase their talent. Open to Italian translators under 35 with at most one previous published literary translation, it changes language yearly to reflect the Fair's Guest of Honour.
In 2026, in celebration of Norway's Guest of Honour country, the competition will center on translation from Norwegian into Italian.
The winner will receive €300 and a certificate and will be awarded during an official ceremony at the Translators’ Centre.
