Quarello

Maurizio Quarello was born in 1974 in Turin where he studied Advertising Graphics, Architecture and Illustration. Becoming an illustrator in 2004, he published his first book with Orecchio Acerbo in 2005. Since then, he has released more than fifty picturebooks that have been translated in twenty-three countries over the five continents. His work has won awards in Italy, Austria, France, United States, Belgium, Sweden, Spain, Canada and Germany and been shown in more than thirty solo exhibitions in Italy, France, Belgium and Spain. Since 2007, Maurizio has held illustration courses and workshops for children. Since 2011, he has taught illustration at the Fine Arts Academy of Macerata, where he now lives and works.
