Elisabetta Bartuli research areas are: Contemporary Arabic Literature, translation from Arabic to Italian, trans-cultural dialogue. She has been teaching since 2004 at Scuola Superiore Mediatori linguistici in Vicenza and since 2000 at “Crossing the Mediterranean: towards Investment and Integration (MIM)”, Ca’ Foscari University, Venice.
Among her translations from Arabic: Inaam Kachachi and Ezzedine C. Fichere, Elias Khoury, ‘Ala al-Aswani, Jabbour Douaihy, Rabee Jaber, Habib Selmi and Muhammad Zafzaf.
Among the books she edited: I domani di ieri by Ali Bécheur (2019), Una trilogia palestinese di Mahmud Darwish (2014), Primavere. Per una Siria democratica e un Libano indipendente (2006), L’infelicità araba (2006) by Samir Kassir, Karawan, dal deserto al web and Islam e democrazia (2000) by Fatima Mernissi.
