Christine Morault studied art and lived in the United States & Brazil before she created MeMo in 1993 with Yves Mestrallet. Me stands for Mestrallet and Mo for Morault. Both book and art lovers, they started by publishing one book per year. Today they publish more than 20 books per year, including artist's books. They want to give children innovative books as well as high quality reprints of outstanding 20th century children's picture books. For 30 years, MeMo has been creating picture books with the utmost care, scrupulously reproducing the pictures from first edition books from first edition books as well as works by young and creative contemporary artists. Because in MeMo's world, children (and grown-ups) are never too young to have a great book in hand.
