For over 60 years, the Bologna Children's Book Fair has championed the world of illustration — and that commitment continues to evolve. As part of a broader vision to spark connections across the fair's many thematic areas, since 2025 a space has been created where the worlds of licensing and illustration finally converge: the Arts Licensing Area.

Strategically positioned between the Licensing hall and the Publishing halls, this exhibition area gives professional illustrators and Arts Licensing agencies a stage to showcase their work — illustrations, designs and styles — not only to the publishing community, but also to the growing number of consumer goods and media content companies that call the fair home.
