Forlagið is the leading publishing house in Iceland with a history dating back to 1937. We publish books in all genres under the imprints Mál og menning, Vaka-Helgafell, Iðunn and JPV. We are the home of many of Iceland's most popular, award-winning Children's and YA authors and we also publish many prominent children's book authors in translation such as Astrid Lindgren, Tove Jansson, Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler, and Alice Oseman to mention just a few.
