"EDB: EDB is an historical brand of the popular and cultured religious publishing industry. Counting more than 3000 titles in the catalogue and 11 magazines, EDB has published books about theology, exegesis, liturgy and spirituality since 1962, paying particular attention to the post council transformations regarding Churches and faith in general. EMI: EMI, Editrice Missionaria Italiana, was founded in 1973. It adopted the imprint that, since the 1950s, had been used for joint publishing projects promoted by the missionaries of PIME, Consolata, the Xaverian Missionaries and the Comboni Missionaries. EMI publishes what it calls “books to change the world” — and the Church itself — by giving voice to the perspectives of the Global South and of those who live on the margins of history. Its vision is that of a more just and sustainable planet, where people build societies that uphold the rights of all, reject violence and care for creation. In such societies, dialogue among cultures and religions is part of everyday life. They are open societies that embrace new ways of living — no longer driven by consumerism, exploitation or individualism — and where a form of spirituality meaningful for our time can flourish.
