Barcanova imprint has been publishing children’s books for all ages since the eighties and has managed to obtain school teachers’ prescriptions regularly. Barcanova publishes classics adaptations, but also new Catalan authors in YA and children’s literature, who have obtained prestigious awards, such as Guillem Cifre de Colonya. Their Xènia trilogy for teenage girls has sold over 40 000 copies.
