Booksea Publishing is the English name of Seohae Munjip, inspired by the original meaning of “Seohae(??),” which signifies a sea of books. Like the ocean, it evokes depth, movement, and endless possibility. The name reflects our belief that books form a living sea, carrying voices across time and connecting readers to new horizons. Specializing in classics, history, and the humanities, we bridge genres—from literature and arts to science—to deliver diverse reading experiences to both young adult (YA) and adult readers. Our notable series include 'Seohae YA Literature', offering teenagers fresh perspectives, 'Teenagers Question the World', exploring social consciousness, and 'Beauty of Asia', a humanities series uncovering the unique aesthetics of Asian cultures. We also showcase titles that blend visual storytelling with humanistic depth, such as the internationally acclaimed graphic history of jazz, ?Jazz It Up!? Our children's imprint, Blue Bicycle Publishing, dedicatedly creates picture books and fiction that view the world through a child's eyes.
