Carthusia Edizioni is an independent project-based publishing house, founded in Milan in 1987. From the beginning, its work has focused on producing high-quality childrens’ picture books and silent books, using innovative languages and experimenting ever-new ways of tackling themes that can be considered “difficult” to talk about. Carthusia is also the main organizer of the Silent Book Contest – Gianni De Conno Award, the first international award dedicated to wordless books.
