PUBLISHING ACTIVITY

The People’s Education Press (PEP) is a publishing house under the leadership of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. It mainly engages in researching, writing, compiling, publishing and distributing primary and secondary school textbooks and other educational books. Since its foundation in 1950, PEP has successfully researched, written, compiled and published eleven series of primary and secondary school textbooks used nationwide. PEP also publishes books covering pre-school education, normal education, educational theory, international Chinese education, adult and vocational education, special education, dictionaries, and popular readers for the overall development of students. In addition, PEP produces all kinds of electronic, audiovisual and digital publications. Altogether more than 90,000 kinds of publications have been published by PEP with a total circulation of 80 billion volumes.
