The professional seminar programme is a prime focus for all those interested in general adult trade publishing. It takes primarily in the dedicated BolognaBookPlus theatre and features a range of topical business subjects. 2026 included themes ranging from AI, Authorship and Ownership and Understanding what an Agent Does, to Manga and More: The Data Landscape of Buying Habits Across Europe and The Literary Translation Forum.

If you wish to submit a seminar for 2027, you can do so via a link here that will be open from October to the end of 2026. The seminars must be of interest to a business audience and adult trade publishing, not children’s. Ideally a panel of three speakers, or an in-conversation style event works best. Company sales pitches will not be successful.
