Sustainable Development Goals Book Club

Bologna Children’s Book Fair is partner of the Sustainable Development Goals Book Club.

The project, still underway and designed to be multilingual, is inspired by the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development: every month a list of books for children is published with the aim to deepen one of the 17 sustainable development goals in all six official UN languages—Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish.

Climate action, quality education, clean energy, gender equality… How can books engage children on these weighty topics? This is the mission of the SDG Book Club.

SDG Book Club aims to use books as a tool to encourage children ages 6-12 to interact with the principles of the Sustainable Development Goals through a selected monthly list of titles from around the world.

The SDG Book Club is organised by the UN in collaboration with IPA-International Publishers Association, the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA), the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY), the European and International Booksellers Federation (EIBF), and the Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF).

Our gallery collects the children’s books selected by the SDG Book Club for Goals 1-17.
