Now in its sixth edition, BolognaBookPlus (BBPlus) confirms itself as the professional extension of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, developed in partnership with AIE (the Italian Publishers Association). The project aims to broaden the scope of the fair beyond children’s publishing, engaging a wider professional audience from across the global book industry.
The 2026 edition will take place from 13 to 16 April within a dedicated area of the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and will host publishers and literary agents from all over the world. The initiative is particularly designed for rights professionals, offering not only an exhibition space for rights trading but also a comprehensive program of conferences, workshops, and professional meetings addressing the most relevant topics in contemporary publishing.
For the third consecutive year, BBPlus will also welcome companies operating across the publishing supply chain – including printers, distributors, and editorial service providers – who will be able to join the Italian collective stand. Within the BBPlus area, these companies will have the chance to present their services, organize meetings, and take part in B2B sessions with other key players attending the fair.
Given the growing importance of BolognaBookPlus on both the Italian and international book fair scene, and following the success of the previous edition, AIE, through its service company Ediser, has decided to renew the Italian collective stand. Once again, the stand will be offered to publishers and service companies at very affordable rates, providing a unique opportunity for Italian businesses to showcase their expertise, expand their international network, and strengthen their presence in the global publishing market.
The collective area, covering approximately 150 square meters, will be located in Mall 1, at the entrance of Hall 29. Each exhibitor will have an individual workstation consisting of a table with three chairs, a display column with three or four shelves, a personal locker, and a sign featuring the company logo. The shared space will also include a relaxation area, a cloakroom, welcome staff, and a dedicated zone for events and presentations, where participants of the collective stand will be able to showcase their publishing output or professional services.
The regulations and application form are available for download on this page for Italian companies interested in taking part.
