Even if online, the Bologna Licensing Trade Fair Kids is undergoing an important step-change, becoming increasingly integrated with the content and international profile of Bologna Children's Book Fair. The 2021 online edition did already benefit from the synergy created.
The key new feature of the 2021 edition, accessible free of charge to industry professionals, is the launch of Global Rights Exchange Licensing, a trading space for the development of properties and brands into the consumer product, publishing and audio-visual sectors. The focus is on IPs for children, teens and young adults, in line with the philosophy and profile of the Bologna Children's Book Fair. Operational all year round, not just during the trade show, the Global Rights Exchange is the virtual venue for networking, meetings, and staying abreast of the latest news from brands and properties all over the world. The Exchange is a virtual focus point for all sector operators worldwide.
BLTF 2021 had also a raft of online meetings geared to the various industry players. The Papers section, for example, presents in-depth surveys and research into specific areas such as retail, fashion, and current trends in children's content in today’s challenging times.
