Edizioni Dedalo is a family-owned and independent publishing house, founded in Bari in 1965 by Raimondo Coga. It specializes in non-fiction, concerning both the social sciences (philosophy, anthropology, history, politics) and the hard sciences (physics, mathematics, chemistry, as well as architecture and urban planning). Dedalo’s books are taken care of in every detail and followed at all stages of processing, from the initial proposal to the printing and layout of the volumes. Dedalo's non-fiction production over time is esteemed by the enlightened choice of authors, both Italian and foreign, the extreme care of the publications, and the relevance of the topics covered. The catalog today counts more than 1,300 titles. The publishing house's mission is to disseminate scientific culture in a broad sense and to prepare its readers for an increasingly technologically advanced world, helping them to understand society in depth and to develop critical and conscious thinking. Great attention is also paid to the literary scene for children, with the latest series born, ScienzaInViaggio: richly illustrated books that tell the insights and discoveries of the greatest scientists through a journey to the places where they lived, with the aim of making even the youngest children fall in love with science and its protagonists.
