PUBLISHING ACTIVITY
Bohem was founded in the early 70ies in Zurich. It is now situated in Affoltern am Albis, Switzerland as Bohem Press AG and since 2014 also in Münster, the Bohem Press GmbH. We publish literary and artistically designed children’s books by international authors and artists. Not only do we create new titles, but we also redesign and reprint old titles from the very beginning of the Bohem Press publishing house. These classics include picture books by authors and artists like Józef Wilkon, Max Bolliger, Štepán Zavrel in order to maintain the tradition and art of the founders. In the past, Bohem Press has been awarded and short-listed for various prizes for its picture books, including Best German Book Design 2023 (Schönste Deutsche Bücher 2023) and German Children’s Literature Award (Deutscher Jugendliteraturpreis).
