LIBRI LIBERI - La censura ai tempi della cancel culture; Against book Ban - Censorship and "cancel culture" in democratic countries

Conference

15 June

17:00

90 min.

ITALIANO - INGLESE
The debate is open: is it right to ban books in the name of alleged liberal values? Have the recent virtual "book burnings" in support of civil rights, inclusion, gender equality, to be seen with indulgence or concern? And to what extent do the paradigm of child protection justify censorship? ICWA offers a talk with publishing professionals and librarians to imagine together an inclusive future for everyone where the World Literature is nevertheless seen as an inalienable common good, an unquestionable heritage of humanity.
