BCBF 2023, Alessandro Sanna pays tribute to Italo Calvino 100 years after his birth

The 2023 Bologna Children’s Book Fair is dedicating an exhibition to Italo Calvino, an author who cherished the history of Italian illustration, 100 years after his birth. The exhibition is called “Italian Excellence. Illustrations for Italo Calvino”. Guests include those connected to the illustrations from past, present and future editions of the Fair, who offer up their own personal interpretations of the characters, places and ideas depicted in Calvino’s novels. The guest line up also features the Italian illustrator Alessandro Sanna.
