Drawn Stories

from Around the World

Among the activities of the international program “The visual world of children's books”, Bologna Children’s Book Fair also staged an exhibition in Moscow.

“Drawn Stories from Around the World” is a special collection of children’s books curated by the Giannino Stoppani Cooperative in partnership with the Russian State Children's Library.

On show were some 200 comics and graphic novels, including the winning titles of the 2020 BolognaRagazzi Comics Category Award, as well as other theme-specific works.

Thanks to Bologna Children’s Book Fair and the new Comics Section of the prestigious BolognaRagazzi Award, we could give a full overview of the extraordinary success of comics for children of all ages, from early readers through to young adults. Hailing from many countries, the titles show the enormous vitality and creativity of this market segment of children’s publishing. The exhibition presented a broad selection of works, from famous authors to emerging young talents produced by large publishing houses and small experimental firms.
