Launched in 2020, the Comics Corner has quickly become one of the most vibrant meeting points for the international comics industry. As the first professional event of the year dedicated to comics, it offers publishers and professionals the opportunity to connect, discover trends, and shape the year ahead.
This year, the Comics Corner collective area brings together more than 100 comic-book publishers from over 30 countries and regions, creating a truly global showcase of contemporary comics publishing.
Here, publishers present their latest titles, meet industry professionals to exchange publishing rights, explore international markets, and discover emerging voices and trends. For visitors, the exhibition area offers a unique overview of the global comics landscape — from established publishers to exciting new players.
A rich professional programme unfolds nearby at The Content Café and The Illustrators Survival Corner, where a series of talks and discussions explores key developments in comics publishing today. The 2026 programme explores themes ranging from the distinctive storytelling and visual culture of Norwegian comics to the growing success of graphic novel series for young readers in the United States, alongside a look inside the making of bestselling children’s graphic novels. Other sessions spotlight the new wave of Asian comics, the opportunities created by international artist residencies, the role of comics in supporting early independent reading, and the rapidly evolving Polish comics scene. BCBF’s focus on comics also includes portfolio reviews, masterclasses and the BolognaRagazzi Comics Award.
While we prepare to present the full programme, here are two not-to-be-missed events:
