Chiara Basile

Chiara Basile has a scientific background, with a PhD in mathematical physics and experience teaching children and teenagers  as educator in non-formal contexts. Founder and owner of the independent children’s bookshop Lèggere Leggére in Castel Maggiore, near Bologna, Italy, she has always strived to build a network of like-minded people and associations disseminating books and culture, even in the most unusual environments. Since 2019, she has been among the organizers of the Junior Poetry Festival, the first international poetry festival for young people in Italy.

Beznosov

Denis Beznosov

Poet, literary critic, translator. Deputy director of the Russian State Children’s Library.

Member of the IBBY Executive Committee (2020-2022). Was twice elected to work in the International Hans Christian Andersen Award Jury (2016-2018, 2018-2020). Poems, literary reviews and translations from English (Sinead Morrissey, Paul Muldoon, Lavinia Greenlaw, Glyn Maxwell, Mark Ford, etc.) and from Spanish (Jose Maria Hinojosa, Octavio Paz, Gabriel Chavez Casasola, etc.) were published in different literary journals. Author of the poetry book “The Creature” (2018). Laureate of the Russian-Italian poetry award “Bella” (2016).

Ramonda

Caterina Ramonda

Caterina Ramonda was trained as a children’s librarian and has for years been involved in printed and digital books for children. She contributes to the specialist Journal Andersen and is on the Jury of the magazine’s Andersen Award. The author of many essays for Editrice Bibliografica on children’s libraries and reading promotion, her most recent publication in 2020 was Come proporre la poesia ai bambini e ai ragazzi in biblioteca (How to present poetry to children and young adults in the library). Caterina is also involved with multi-lingualism, collaborating with the Association Dulala – D’une langue à l’autre

Styles

Morag Styles

Morag Styles was Professor of Children’s Poetry at the University of Cambridge and is an Emeritus Fellow at Homerton College. She is the author of From the Garden to the Street: 300 years of poetry for children, and has written widely on children’s poetry and picturebooks, edited several volumes on children’s literature, and is editor of numerous anthologies of poetry for children.

In 2009, she co-curated an exhibition on the history of children’s poetry at the British Library with then Children’s Laureate, Michael Rosen. She is co-author of Children’s Picturebooks: the art of visual storytelling (2019) with Martin Salisbury , is currently working on a third edition of Children Reading Picturebooks with Evelyn Arizpe, and is writing a memoir of childhood in Scotland and India.
