More than two years have passed since the copyright law, implementing EU Directive 2019/790, mandates informational obligations and "adequate and proportionate remuneration based on the value of rights" in contracts for the exploitation of copyrighted works. How are contractual practices adapting, and how can we promote change? What are our objectives? More broadly, how is authorial work transforming in publishing? A necessary shared reflection among various types of authors: writers, illustrators and translators.

This year we will tackle six titles, two of which are on show at the JBBY/Japan Foundation stand (H29 C-16). At the end of the workshop there will be a bilingual read-aloud performance.
