New Island Books is an independent publishing house based in Dublin, Ireland. Celebrating 30 years of business in 2022, New Island publishes a range of fiction and non-fiction titles, primarily of Irish Interest but with an international outlook. We publish award-winning literary and debut fiction, poetry, short stories and personal essays along with ground-breaking non-fiction including memoir, anthologies, sporting lives and Irish history. Our Modern Irish Classics series seeks to revive forgotten Irish writers such as Norah Hoult and Mary Lavin and the Open Door Series offers quality, age-appropriate reading material written in Plain English for emerging adult readers.
