This year, the collaboration between Bologna Children’s Book Fair and Pitti Immagine Bimbo, the international fair for new trends in childrenswear, saw the creation of “The Extraordinary Library 2. It’s Showtime!”, a selection of 100 picture books for children focused on the magic of the show and stage with stunning titles dedicated to cinema, theatre, ballet, opera, acrobatic arts and the circus.
During the Bologna Children’s Book Fair the exhibition will be on show at the Fondazione Cineteca, to draw a closer look on entertainment history and its icons.
Organized by Silvana Sola (Giannino Stoppani Cooperativa Culturale) and Marcella Terrusi, the international books are a special chance to meet directors, dancers, singers, actors, clowns and jugglers, who try to make dreams reality.
The programme includes educational activities for the public on Saturday afternoon and for schools in the morning (reservation in advance).
