Dina Basso

Dina Basso (Scordia, 1988) is a bookseller at the Libreria dei Ragazzi in Turin, where she also organizes workshops on children's literature. She carries out communication projects for children's books publishers. She earned the Master of the School for Booksellers "Accademia Drosselmeier" from the Cooperativa Culturale Giannino Stoppani. She holds a degree in Education from the University of Bologna, with an experimental dissertation on non-fiction children's publishing.

Nicolette Jones

Nicolette Jones is a writer, literary critic, professional moderator of literary events and broadcaster. She has been the children’s books reviewer of the Sunday Times for more than two decades, and was a nominee for the 2012 Eleanor Farjeon Award for outstanding service to the world of children’s books. She is an experienced book prize judge, for both adults’ and children’s books, and has chaired selection panels including for Booktrust’s Lifetime Achievement Awards, and the "In Other Words" initiative promoting books in translation. Her book The Plimsoll Sensation won two awards and was a BBC Radio 4 Book of the Week, and she has been a Royal Literary Fund Writing Fellow at UCL and King’s College, London, as well as Director the Children’s Programme at the Oxford Literary Festival. She is a supporter of Empathy Lab, and Authors4Oceans.

Birthe Steinbeck

Birthe Steinbeck is currently Deputy Art Director at "Süddeutsche Zeitung Magazin", created together with a team of talented designers while collaborating with some of the world’s best creatives which has earned her numerous recognitions. Steinbeck has also established Studio Steinbeck renowned for its versatility and content-driven design ideas always on the lookout for an original vision that really stands out. The studio is handling images and typography for books, magazines, identities, websites and printed matter. Besides that Steinbeck lectures at universities across Europe.

Von Drasek

Lisa Von Drasek

Lisa Von Drasek (Lees-ah Vahn Drā sék) is the Curator of the Children's Literature Research Collections . The CLRC that includes the Kerlan Collection of rare children’s books, manuscripts and original art is an internationally recognized resource in the field of children’s literature. Lisa is a frequent lecturer   guest lecturer on storytelling and folklore, collection development, children’s literature, and library services to children. Lisa has reviewed children's books for "The New York Times", "Kirkus Reviews", "EarlyWord.com", "Shelf Awareness" and blogs at Blue Ox Review.

Lisa’s publications include Writing Boxes: The Reading/Writing Connection in Libraries. In 2019, She adapted noted children’s book scholar, Leonard S. Marcus’ The ABC of It: Why Children’s Books Matter from the one originated at The New York Public Library. Lisa is presently on the board of directors of USBBY as division of IBBY.
