Ghidelli

Marco Ghidelli

Marco Ghidelli was born in Verona and grew up in Mantua. A Political Science graduate of Bologna’s Alma Mater Studiorum University, he started out in publishing in 2006 working for Corraini Edizioni. In 2012, by that time living and working in Berlin, he and his partner in business as in life, Barbara Gizzi, founded RAUM Italic, an independent publishing and graphic design company specialising in printed editorial projects. From 2012 to 2020, RAUM Italic was also a bookstore and exhibition space called SPAZIO Corsivo focusing on illustration, graphic art and design, and hosting an array of exhibitions, presentations, events and workshops for children and adults. During these years, RAUM Italic focused especially on children’s picture books but also on graphic art, art, and architecture publications, working with many international artists, publishers, designers, and illustrators. Over the years, visual and graphic aspects have become a fundamental aspect of RAUM Italic’s production, which has been translated and published in many countries around the world.

Ho-baek

Lee Ho-baek

 Lee Ho-baek majored in Graphic Design at Seoul National University, followed by a master's degree in Journalism and Communications from Korea University.
From 1990 to 1993, Lee resided in Paris, where his fascination with the art of bookmaking grew.
In 1994, he founded Jaimimage, a publishing company based in Seoul, Korea, where he collaborates with numerous talented writers and artists while also contributing his own creations as a writer, illustrator, and graphic designer.
As a publisher, Magic Bottles, earned a special mention at the 2006 BolognaRagazzi Award.
As an author of picture books, his 2003 work While We Were Out was selected as one of the Best Illustrated Books of 2003 by the New York Times. This book has been translated into nine languages and was honoured with the 2012 Peter Pan Prize by BBY Sweden.
Lee's publishing company, Jamimage, was invited to participate in the renowned children's book festival L'oeil du monde in Nantes, France in 2023. Through his works, he artfully introduces the unique sentiment of Korean literature to European audiences.

Huang

Xiaoyan Huang

Xiaoyan Huang founded Macmillan Group's joint venture in Beijing, Macmillan Century, in 2011 and introduced Ed Young, Philip C. Stead, Erin E. Stead, Laura Vaccaro Seeger and many other picture-book artists to China.
In June 2015, she founded Everafter Books, an independent children's publishing house dedicated to bringing high quality books to Chinese children, aged between 0-12 years old. Everafter, with a distinctive identity, has received many book industry awards and is fully regarded as one of the best children's publishing brands in China. It has published many picture books by world-renowned artists, including Sydney Smith, Brendan Wenzel, Manuel Marsol, and many more. She lectures at art schools teaching picture-book related courses and serves as a frequent guest speaker to introduce the Chinese children's book industry to a global audience.

Torseter

Oyvind Torseter

 Øyvind Torseter is one of Norway's most well-known and award-winning authors and illustrators. He has produced books such as Detours (Avstikkere), The Hole (Hullet) and Mule Boy (Mulegutten). He has won several Norwegian and international prizes. For Detours, he was awarded the Year’s Most Beautiful Book Prize and the BolognaRagazzi Award. The Hole earned him the prestigious French Prix Jeune Albert, and also won him the Norwegian prize for The Year’s Most Beautiful Book in 2013.  Mule Boy was nominated to the Nordic Council Children’s Book Prize in 2016.
