Marco Ghidelli was born in Verona and grew up in Mantua. A Political Science graduate of Bologna’s Alma Mater Studiorum University, he started out in publishing in 2006 working for Corraini Edizioni. In 2012, by that time living and working in Berlin, he and his partner in business as in life, Barbara Gizzi, founded RAUM Italic, an independent publishing and graphic design company specialising in printed editorial projects. From 2012 to 2020, RAUM Italic was also a bookstore and exhibition space called SPAZIO Corsivo focusing on illustration, graphic art and design, and hosting an array of exhibitions, presentations, events and workshops for children and adults. During these years, RAUM Italic focused especially on children’s picture books but also on graphic art, art, and architecture publications, working with many international artists, publishers, designers, and illustrators. Over the years, visual and graphic aspects have become a fundamental aspect of RAUM Italic’s production, which has been translated and published in many countries around the world.
