PUBLISHING ACTIVITY

Ediciones de la Banda Oriental was founded in Uruguay in 1961 to promote Latin American culture and make national and international authors known. It publishes around 50 titles a year. Currently, it has widened its scope to cover other areas, such us children's literature and science. Forty years ago it created a reading club which has thousands of members. For the last ten years it has also edited the school magazine La Mochila.
