| Antonio Faeti – President Born in 1939 in Bologna, after years of experience as an elementary school teacher, Antonio Faeti obtained the tenure of the first University chair in Italy for the History of Children’s Literature at the Department of Educational Sciences at the University of Bologna. He presently teaches at a course in Pedagogy of Reading supported by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna. |

Eric Baker - design director at The O Group, a marketing and brand strategy firm in New York where he is involved in branding and communications programs for a wide variety high level brands. Prior to joining The O Group he was principal of Eric Baker Design Associates, Inc. The firm designed hundreds of books, with a special focus in the area of illustrated and photographic books and exhibition catalogs. Actually also teaches courses in The History of Graphic Design and Corporate Identity at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, Word and Image and Senior Seminar at SUNY Purchase, Baker is an active member of The American Institute of Graphic Arts and for over six years Eric Baker was Design Director of the weekly news magazine The New Republic. He is author of the books Great Inventions/Good Intentions, An Illustrated History of American Design Patents and Hitting The Road, The Art of The American Road Map, Invitation to The Voyage – A Poem Illustrated by Charles Baudelaire, “ You’re The Top” by Cole Porter and American Trademarks, a Compendium. A two time recipient of the National Endowment for the Arts Design Grant (1989 and 1992) for his independent design history projects, his work has appeared in Print, Communication Arts, How, Domus, Metropolis, Blueprint, ID Magazine, The New York Art Directors Annual, British Design and Art Direction, The New York Times, Vanity Fair, Creative Review, Dwell, Fast Company and Graphis. |

Nathalie Beau - has dedicated her professional life to children's literature through different fields of expertise: at the end of the seventies, she created one of the first children's bookshops in France, the "Bouquinette", located in Strasbourg. Afterwards, she worked for two publishers: Gallimard Jeunesse and Nathan Jeunesse. In 1998, she joined the Centre national de la littérature pour la jeunesse - La Joie par les livres, which became in 2008 a service of the French National Library; she is in charge of the international sector and of IBBY France. Nathalie Beau is a specialist of picture books and is responsible of the section dedicated to them in La Revue des livres pour enfants, a critical review on children's literature published by the CNLJ-JPL. She also organises training sessions on this subject. |
