Antonio Faeti – President Born in 1939 in Bologna, after years of experience as an elementary school teacher, Antonio Faeti obtained the tenure of the first University chair in Italy for the History of Children’s Literature at the Department of Educational Sciences at the University of Bologna. He presently teaches at a course in Pedagogy of Reading supported by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio in Bologna. |

Leonard Marcus (New York, NY, USA)Leonard is one of the children's book world's most respected and versatile writers, historians, and critics. Leonard was born and in Mount Vernon, New York. Maria Cristina Paterlini (Rome, Italy)Born in Rome in 1956, Maria Cristina is a librarian specialised in children’s books. From 1980 she has worked within the framework of Rome’s Sistema Bibliotecario where she has curated many children’s reading schemes. After more than 10 years with Rome’s Central Children’s Library, Maria Cristina currently heads the children’s section of the European Library, a project partnered by foreign cultural institutes in Rome. |
